Direct-to-film (DTF)
Any fabric.
Any placement.
Your design is printed onto a special film, coated with adhesive powder and heat-pressed onto the garment. It's how we print hoodies, heavyweights, outerwear and every sleeve.

The honest breakdown.
Advantages
- Works on almost any fabric — cotton, poly, blends and more
- Full color and fine detail with no color limits
- Handles sleeves, hoods and hard-to-reach placements
- No minimums, and gang sheets let you press your own
Disadvantages
- Sits on top of the fabric, so it has a slight film feel
- Large, solid designs can feel heavier and less breathable
- Not quite as soft as DTG on cotton tees
- Very fine hairline details may need art adjustments
Why we use it
Our go-to for heavy and hard-to-print garments.
Hoodies, heavyweight blanks, jackets and sleeves don't take DTG ink well. DTF gives us bright, consistent, durable prints on all of them — so every item in your collection looks right.
Best for
- Hoodies, crewnecks and heavyweight tees
- Jackets and outerwear
- Sleeve and odd-placement prints
- Polyester and blended fabrics
- DTF gang sheets to press yourself
