Direct-to-garment (DTG)
Full color.
No minimums.
DTG works like an inkjet printer for apparel — water-based ink is printed straight into the fabric. Photo-level detail, a soft feel, and every order printed the moment it comes in.

Advantages
- Unlimited colors, gradients and photo-level detail
- Soft feel — the ink becomes part of the fabric
- No setup and no minimums, so it powers print-on-demand
- Perfect for testing new designs without bulk risk
Disadvantages
- Works best on cotton and cotton-rich fabrics
- Colors on dark garments are slightly less punchy than screen printing
- Higher cost per piece than screen printing on big runs
- At AUI, DTG is front and back only — sleeves and heavier garments go DTF
